DAA packs, from schedule to handoff

Plan cycles, generate runs, move packs through Print → Pack → Check → Hand off, and surface stale or ready packs on Home before they fall through the cracks.

Included in Core · $99 per store per month

The problem

DAA workflows shouldn't depend on clipboards and memory

Has this pack been checked?
Did Mrs Smith pick up her packs last week?
Was this patient handed their packs?
Why is this run still showing from last month?
Who needs scripts requested?
Is this patient picking up, getting delivery, or away this cycle?

Before PharmStack

  • Pack schedules in spreadsheets
  • Counter handoff tracked manually
  • Old runs left unresolved
  • One-off instructions buried in notes
  • Script requests handled separately
  • Delivery handoff retyped into another system

With DAA Planner

  • Every run has a status
  • Generate → Print → Pack → Check → Hand off workflow
  • Pack handoff queue on Home
  • Reconcile queue for stale packs
  • Run notes on specific due dates
  • Script requests from the planner
  • Delivery Lists handoff when enabled

The workflow

Every pack run has a workflow

The schedule is only half the workflow. Generate runs from cycles, then work every pack through the steps pharmacies actually use.

Reconcile

  1. Generate

Create weekly, fortnightly, or 28-day rolling monthly runs from patient cycles.

  2. Print

Prepare labels, sheets, and run materials with staff attribution.

  3. Pack

Move packs through the packing workflow with notes and status visible.

  4. Check

Record pharmacist check/sign-off when required by store settings.

  5. Hand off

Track pickup, delivery, or post, with quantity, date, and optional handoff note.

  6. Reconcile

Resolve unfinished or stale packs before the schedule becomes inaccurate.

Suspensions. Going on holiday? In hospital? Extra packs supplied? Suspend patients without breaking the cycle.

The PharmStack difference

The schedule is only half the workflow

Most DAA tools help you plan packs. PharmStack helps your team work the full DAA flow, from cycle generation through checking, counter pickup, delivery, and stale-pack reconciliation.

  • Packs ready for handoff
  • Packs needing pharmacist sign-off
  • Runs past due or never completed
  • Patients suspended for holidays, hospital, or excess packs
  • Delivery packs ready for the next run

All surfaced on Home & Needs attention before staff start asking questions.

DAA Planner keeps packing, checking, pickup, delivery, and reconciliation connected, so packs do not disappear between the schedule, the counter, and Home.

Pack handoff

Know exactly what left the pharmacy

Ready packs appear in a searchable Pack Handoff queue, so staff record what left the pharmacy, how, and when, without hunting through the schedule or a clipboard list.

Notes

Supports early pickup, per-run pickup / delivery / post override, and pharmacist sign-off when required.

Reconcile queue

Nothing stale slips through

DAA Planner catches packs that were never finished or sat ready too long without being handed out. Staff can resolve them from Home or the planner before old runs distort the schedule.

Never finished

Past due and prep steps incomplete.

Ready too long

Ready to hand off but not marked handed out.

Resolve from the queue

  • Complete prep inline
  • Record pharmacist sign-off
  • Record handoff
  • Snooze
  • Delete if no longer needed

This is separate from schedule-change reconciliation, which helps clean up runs when patient cycles or anchor dates change.

Run notes

Run notes packers actually see

Add one-off instructions to a specific patient run, visible on the schedule row when staff are packing or checking.

  • Extra week supplied
  • Patient away this cycle
  • Waiting on script
  • Bridge pack required
  • Deliver instead of pickup this run

Patient notes = standing context

Run notes = one-off instructions for a due date

Handoff notes = what actually left the pharmacy

Script requests

Request missing scripts from the planner

Select patients, medicine lines, and reasons, then preview a clinic email without leaving the DAA workflow. Avoid keeping a separate spreadsheet of script requests.

  • Pick patients needing scripts
  • Select medicines and request reasons
  • Use doctor and clinic records
  • Fix missing doctor links inline
  • Preview email before sending
